Testimonials

PlaySport have worked with us at Carlton Vale Infant School for many years and have provided an excellent service which the children enjoy immensely. The coaches engage very well with the children and plan progressive lessons and activities appropriate to their age range. They are very reliable and flexible, providing extra support when needed covering lunchtime activity sessions, PE lessons and after school clubs. Their coaches are all DBS and first aid qualified and are able to deliver sessions for our EYS and Key Stage 1 children including gymnastics

The PlaySport team have provided fantastic learning opportunities for KS1 and KS2 since the start of the academic year 2020. They increase the sporting interest of both pupils and staff and provide exemplary support. PlaySport are thoroughly organised and are always willing to respond to the individual needs of the school and the children. The pupils enjoy their sessions and their skill levels have developed through a variety of sports, which are tailored to each individual year group through the Progression of Skills and the National Curriculum aims for this subject. Lessons are well planned for and developmental, as well as interactive, engaging and imaginative. Lesson plans are provided and assessments are completed with careful consideration.
In addition to curriculum support, the PlaySport staff, who are approachable and friendly, run lunchtime provision, games and challenges for the KS2 children, all of which are thoroughly enjoyed by all. We would highly recommend PlaySport due to their professional and caring manner and the high level of expertise that they bring to our school. They have become an intrinsic part of our team and play an important role in our school development.

At each session the children participate in an hour of fun exercise which is delivered by PLAYSPORT Coaching. The physical activity part of the programme is specifically designed to appeal to children who may find exercise daunting. The coaches show them enjoyable, informal ways of getting moving, removing the competitive element. Children build up their fitness levels, strength and agility gradually. Many of the children tell us that the exercise sessions are their favourite part of the programme. Parents are also given the opportunity to participate in an exercise session, and the children thoroughly enjoy having their parents take part, especially when they see them out of breath and with sore muscles the next day!

Parents have reported that their children are participating in and enjoying their PE lessons a lot more since attending MEND, and some have been chosen for school sports teams as a result of improved fitness levels. The coaches are very good at getting the best out of the children and there is a noticeable improvement in children’s confidence and self-esteem, which the exercise sessions play a major part in developing.

Thank you for the wonderful work you have done with our Year 6 children. I know the children have really enjoyed your tuition which has benefited both their Spanish language acquisition and PE skills.

You interacted very well with the children, including some of our more challenging pupils whose needs demand a differentiated approach. The children responded very well to your lessons which were always well structured and engaging. This project has been very successful and we are delighted with the outcome. I have no hesitation in recommending your Company and would love to approach you again to work with our pupils.

We have been using Playsport to support us with delivering PE lessons, after school clubs and lunch time multi-skills sessions for a number of years.
Marc has supported us in developing and implementing our PE curriculum, which was praised by Ofsted during our recent inspection. There is clear progression from the Early Years through to Year 2. Children develop their agility, strength, balance & coordination in age appropriate ways. Learning is differentiated for children with differing abilities and needs, enabling all children to make progress and succeed. Lesson plans are easy to follow and include assessments for each half termly unit. The coaches have built positive relationships with our pupils and staff alike and have been an asset to our school team!
